Some of the things you'll learn in this academy:
Leading your own life
We will be exploring the importance of leading your own life as leadership starts with taking responsibility for your own life. One cannot lead effectively if one does not first lead themselves.
The value of others
We will be looking at how effective leaders treat others and why it’s important to value those around you. Leaders should make an impact on others and on this world and that cannot happen if a leader does not see the value, importance and potential of others.
Styles of leadership
We will be learning about the practical and theoretical side of leadership development. This is where we will explore what effective leaders do practically and how we can adopt those principles into our own lives.
Meet your presenter
Dillon Taljaard
I have been a part of leadership development for the past seven years and I have been apart of the leadership office since 2016. I myself have done the Red Blazer and have achieved my honours in leadership. So I have a passion for personal development and I like to see people grow and take responsibility for their own lives. I am a History teacher at Sutherland High School and love to learn from the past and so one can see history impacting my leadership lessons.
